Greetings!  My name is Chris Schuchard, and I am an Alderman-at-Large for the City of Sterling.  I was born and raised here in Sterling, and graduated from Sterling High School in 1997.

Upon graduating from Sterling High School, I went to the University of Kentucky where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business management and marketing in 2001.  In 2010 I graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago with a Master’s Degree in elementary education with an endorsement in middle school math.

I have taught school in a few different districts, including Orange County Public Schools in Florida, and Chicago Public Schools right here in Illinois.  Currently I teach combined third and fourth grades in Malden, Illinois, which is about forty miles south of Sterling.  Prior to working in education, I consulted for a certification and licensure company out of Dunedin, Florida.

A few of my favorite things are Kentucky basketball and football, weekly dinners with my extended family, traveling, and meeting new and interesting people.
