 The
Sterling
Park District runs a wide variety activities at several locations
throughout Sterling in addition to the City's
parks. Fitness buffs can join aerobics classes,
train in free weights, or hit the nautilus equipment. Water lovers
can make their way to the districts outdoor aquatic center or the indoor
pool and can even join the swim team. Basketball players can find
courts both under the sun and under a roof. For those who prefer
to wield a racquet, there are numerous indoor and outdoor tennis courts
and several racquetball courts to choose from. The district even
staffs a tennis pro! As well, the district offers an indoor track,
roller hockey, and so much more.
Additionally, the Sterling Park District also runs a golf course and a
marina on Lake Sinnissippi of the Rock River. Their newest project is a new skate
