I would like to introduce myself.  I have been active in the community for over 15 years.  I am the mother of two daughters, Taylor and Lauren.  I was the Third Ward Alderman for five years and served as vice mayor during that time.  In 2007, I was elected Mayor.

My community involvement includes: member of the Sterling Mural Society, Co-Chair of the Sterling Chamber Ambassadors, member of the CGH Auxilary, member of Chapter BH of the PEO Sisterhood, past Board Member of Sterling Today.  I have been active in Sterling Schools, serving as PTO President of Franklin School, a member of Washington PTO, a member of the Parent Leader Group and the Gifted Advisory Committee.

I am employed at Sauk Valley Community College, and previously worked as Marketing Director at Sauk Valley Bank and Manager of the Frame Shoppe in Sterling.  I also spent a few years at home with my children, Taylor and Lauren.  Prior to moving to Sterling, I worked in communications and business management.  I have a Bachelors degree from Ashford University and am pursuing a Masters degree.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, reading, hiking, and following local, national and world news.

Please feel free to contact me, as I Iook forward to working with you.
