Beth Horner

"Dynamite!"  Listeners will explode as Beth captivates her audience with a variety of folk, literary, traditional, contemporary, and original tales from around the world.  A nationally acclaimed storyteller who has performed for over 18 years, Beth takes her listeners on a journey of adventure.  She resides in the Chicago area and central Missouri.
   
 


Jim Pfitzer

Let the adventures begin!  Jim's personal tales of encounters with owls, bats, and other creatures stem from his experience of backpacking the Grand Canyon, guiding rafters down the Snake River in Wyoming, and living in the Redwood National Park.  Jim visits us from Evanston, Illinois.


Mark Kater

"Stories to Inspire... From Around the World."  -- Mark, from Skokie, Illinois, tells stories exploring his Cherokee Indian heritage.  His topics including original stories and retellings of myths, animals, nature, and folktales from around the world.
 


Linda Gorham

"The storyteller with the gold shoes" returns to our Festival with tales full of energy.  Linda performed at our first Festival in the fall of 2003.  Get ready to move, get ready for fun!  No room for listeners only - be ready to participate! Watch out, you may be inspired relive a memory, or learn something new! Linda's stories reinforce values and explore the world of ideas & traditions from other cultures.  Linda lives in Aurora, IL.

All Festival (Fri evening and All day Saturday) - $10

Friday Night (mature audience) - $3 in advance

Saturday All Day - $8 per person

Single Saturday Session - $5 per session

Saturday Family Pass - $35 per family (up to 5 persons)

*children 5 years old and under are free

  The Festival Grounds are at Gartner Park, located on W. LeFevre Road in Sterling, Illinois.  Chairs are set up for festival seating.  Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. A concession stand is available, but picnic baskets are welcome.  No glass containers please.  Restrooms are available on-site.

Accessibility: The park is wheelchair accessible.  A motorized cart will be available to transport elders and physically challenged.  Ample parking is available.

Sign Language Interpreters will be available.
