Education Department - The US Department of Education provides news and reports on all levels of education. As importantly, the site provides information for acquiring financial aid for you local schools and for college.

Internal Revenue Service - The IRS web site has most the tax information you need to know to answer your questions before tax day. Most IRS forms are also online as well.

Legislation - Search Thomas  for current, pending or drafted bills or legislation on line. Thomas, operated by the Library of Congress, allows one to read the text of legislation, summaries, bill status, bill sponsors and much more.

Social Security - The Social Security Administration administers five major categories of benefits paid for through your Social Security taxes: retirement, disability, family benefits, survivors and Medicare. For everything else, the US General Services Administration maintains a portal for most Federal information. You can access this tremendously useful site by visiting www.firstgov.gov
