Taking Applications for Police Officer!
THE CITY OF STERLING, IL Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
will be accepting applications for POLICE OFFICER for the
Sterling Police Department. Applications will be available in the
Police Department Administration office, 212 3rd Avenue, Sterling, IL beginning
Monday, May 24, 2010 through Friday, June 4, 2010. All applications
must be returned no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010
to the Police Department Administration office.
General Requirements: Must be 21 years
of age and not have reached your 35th birthday, US citizen,
high school diploma or equivalent, valid Illinois Drivers license, and
good health and vision. Exam required.
A mandatory orientation will be held for
applicants on Wednesday, June 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Police
Department Community/Training Room at the Sterling Coliseum 212 3rd
Avenue, Sterling, IL. At that time applicants will be provided with further information.
